With assistance from the Carbon Trust small businesses can also seek to reduce their carbon footprint by sourcing energy efficient equipment.

Through the Carbon Trust, some businesses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland could borrow from £5,000 to £400,000 to fund energy efficient equipment purchases. The loans are unsecured, interest free and repayable over a period of up to 4 years. There are no arrangement fees and applying is straightforward.
